Claro Walnut Round / crosscut that came out of an orchard that reached maturity from Gridley, in Butte County, CA. This round is from a Claro Walnut burl. One of our suppliers spotted a farmer pushing together a pile of orchard removal waste together and burning it, and could identify there were some burls worth salvaging from the fire. Talked the farmer into putting out the fire and saving the burls. The edge has a nice charred look that we have wire brushed back.
